Starting a blog

Here is my first blog post on my website and I am so excited to get into this!

Firstly, I would like to thank you for visiting my website. I hope you will like what you see and will come back for more. 🙂

Secondly, let me introduce myself. My name is Anett, I am a Hungarian… Hmm… visual artist living in Dublin, Ireland. I have been searching for the right word for a while as I don’t really like to call myself a photographer. I use loads of Photoshop on my images and most of the time the final piece looks completely different from what came out of my camera. Some people might say “this is not photography”. They might be right. So I will just go with visual artist until I come up with something better. 🙂 Anyway enough of me. You can find more information about my background here.

What I would like to talk about a little bit is the reason I decided to create this website and start a blog. I created my first blog years ago when I was in secondary school. I was a real fangirl (screaming and all), and in most of my blog posts I was just raving about my favourite boybands. Yep.
But I enjoyed writing that blog very much and, although I closed it years ago because I felt like I didn’t have anything to write about anymore, I always knew blogging is something I would like to go back to one day. So here I am! Finally, I feel like it is time, because I have so much to talk about again. But what exactly I want to talk about here, you might ask.

  • Photography
Yes, photography is definitely going to be the main topic of the website among other things of course. When I got into photography I realized how hard it is to put my name out there. I also realized that basically nothing will go as planned. 🙂 I am hoping that by sharing my thoughts and experiences I can help others.

You can also find all my photographic work in the gallery and purchase original fine art prints in the webshop.

  • Drawing/Painting
I love drawing and painting. I find it amazing how much energy and positivity it gives me when I sit down and draw (even if it’s just doodling). Only recently, I went back to my old sketchbook I started in 2014 and decided to finish it (better late than never). I also decided to make time for drawing and painting every day and this is something I will definitely keep up and share my process and finished pictures regularly on the blog.

  • Book Reviews
I am so excited to finally have a platform I can share my thoughts about my beloved books. 😀 Unfortunately I only have a few people (no that’s a lie; one person to be exact) I can discuss books with. I absolutely love reading, I would probably read multiple books a day if I had time. If you are like me, make sure you come back because I would love to hear your opinion and thoughts on books!

Okay. I think that’s enough for today. Thank you again for being here, I really appreciate it! If you have any questions, suggestions or you just want to chat, please leave a comment below or send me a message on any of my social media sites.

Have a wonderful day!
